A strategic compass for sustainable transformation in Cameroon
The Okwelians has taken a major step forward in its commitment by publishing its very first Green Paper: an ambitious roadmap to address Cameroon’s structural challenges and accelerate its sustainable transformation.
Produced as a follow-up to The Okwelians Summit 2025, this document is based on multidisciplinary reflection involving 300 contributors from more than 20 countries. It is part of the momentum of the National Development Strategy 2030 (SND30) and aims to catalyze collective efforts around concrete solutions: youth employment, industrialization, ecological transition, financing the economy, and promoting endogenous knowledge.
True to its dual role as a think tank and do tank, The Okwelians is accompanying this publication with the launch of the ORCA Coalition. This unprecedented alliance with REMCESS, the National Council of Traditional Chiefs, and AIVARA will enable local projects around strategic value chains (agriculture, crafts, circular economy, etc.) to be tested in five pilot municipalities.
The Green Paper embodies an ambition: to unite energies, strengthen public, private, and citizen partnerships, and build a more inclusive future for Cameroon.
